Eddie Eatmon has been a musician since the age of 8 when his mother brought him several instruments. As he grew older as much as he loved playing for churches, he wanted to learn about jazz and classical music. Eddie studied with the late Calvin Jones at UDC, the late Ketter Betts and spent time under the tutelage of the great Steve Novasel, Dave Marsh, and other illustrious Washington Metro area musicians.
Eddie has played has traveled the glob performing with the likes of The Clovers, Shirley Horn, Keith Pringle, Vicky Wyans and many, many others. He is currently performing regularly with David Shulman and Felix Contreras aka Rhapsody B in addition to every Friday and Saturday at the 701 Restaurant in a dynamic bass and piano duo.
He teaches at the Capitol Hill Day School Afterschool Program in Washington, DC and Music and Arts in Severna Park, MD.
Eddie Eatmon is currently working on a solo project that will be out in the Spring of 2015 and wil be starting an online bass and guitar online workshop for all levels of proficiency.
